If you are looking to change the flooring in your home and are considering choosing tile you should read this article. It will give you some reasons why you should choose carpet over tile. Even though carpet may not be for everyone you should read on and see if it is for you.

The first reason to choose carpet is because it is much cheaper. Installation costs are what really kills you with tile. You can carpet the same size area for much cheaper.

Another reason to choose carpet is that it is installed much quicker. If you are doing a large area it may take a week or more to finish tiling it. Carpet can be laid in hours. This prevents the hassle of a long floor down time.

The third reason is that carpet is more comfortable. Do you want to wake up on a cold winter morning and step on tile. Of course not. You would much rather step on a warm soft carpet.

That brings us to reason number four which is safety. Carpet is safe. You will not slip on carpeting and if you fall on it there is a thick cushion to protect you. This is particularly important for the elderly or if you have kids.

The last reason relates to foundations. if you are in an area where foundations tend to shift then carpet is a much better alternative. Tile will crack and break in this situation while carpet will just flex a little. This can save frequent and expensive repairs.

As you can see there are many reasons to choose carpet over tile. Hopefully this article has helped you to make an informed decision on your next flooring purchase.
